Inspiration

With the seasons changing, classes starting back up, and schedules getting busier again, I have found an inspiration board to be, well, SO FUN.

Chanelle Number One//Fashion + Lifestyle BlogOrganizing thoughts through visual imagery that serves as reminders to goals and desires can be very helpful; not to mention a great excuse for searching Pinterest for an hour! Hanging your inspiration board in a work space (or in my small living space, the bedroom) can make it a constant reminder to strive for your dreams. I have found that waking up everyday and glancing at my board reminds me why I am here and where I am going. It keeps me on track and feeds those creative juices flowing in my head. This is especially true with style photos.

Chanelle Number One//Fashion + Lifestyle BlogAdmiring someone’s look and then turning it around and wearing it in your own unique way is (again) SO FUN! You can see from my board that trench coats and bell bottoms are huge this season, which I am probably overly excited about!

You can be completely creative and spontaneous with it because its all yours! I personally enjoy using a variety of photos of nature, fashion, beauty, quotes, wellness and places I would like to go. It’s such a helpful reminder  as I wake up. I’ll ask myself, “How can I get one step closer to achieving my goals today?” If you’re feeling fancy, you can hang small decorations like ribbon or twine around and through your board. Or, you can keep it simple and place them together in one area on the wall, like I did here.

If you’ve never done an inspiration board, let this be your ticket to the show. It is easy, quick, and hugely beneficial. You can add to it and change things throughout the season, too. Try it out!

All the images in my inspiration board were taken from Pinterest.
