It was a beautiful, chilly morning on the Columbia River Gorge and the fog was not going to burn off today, which I actually liked. It makes the mountains look more purple, blue, and dreamy against the white ghostly clouds. And its q u i e t, really quiet.
Being a morning person, this is one of my favorite times of the day. My husband? Not so much ;). But he still gets up to take the pictures!
I’m pretty proud of this skirt. It’s always fun for me when I can buy something at a huge discount and then change it, make it my own, and it turns out cuter than before. I bought this skirt at a local second-hand clothing store, cut about six inches off the bottom and hemmed it myself. If you haven’t noticed yet, the button skirts are super in right now. I’ve had this baby in my closet for over a year (I love when that happens!).
I paired the skirt with my Taylor Swift shirt. I’m not going to lie, I love her. To put it in perspective, she’s my generation’s Madonna, Cyndi Lauper or Brittney Spears. I’ve been obsessed with her curly hair (she was a big reason I began to embrace my natural curls in high school haha), her music, and her inspirational, non-forgiving personality and morals. I’d never had the opportunity to go to one of her concerts until this summer, when my cute mama gifted me tickets for my 21st birthday back in February. I have no shame about this!! It was a blast going with my mom and belting every word! The concert was amazing, as I expected, and I had to get a shirt to hold on to the memory!
^^^ How my mom told me about the tickets on my birthday!
I have said this on the blog before and I will say it again: if you like it, wear it! Fashion/personal style is about the way you artfully express yourself through the items you wear and how you wear them. If you feel great in it, wear it!
